Sunset at GAZTELUGATXE ARCH in Northern Spain

We just returned from a short trip to Northern Spain. Steffen and I spent some days along the coast visiting several Spanish Provinces, among them the Biscay (Basque Country near the French border), Cantabria, Asturias and Lugo (Galicia, far in the west) and we also had another great day shooting at Nacedero del Urederra in Navarra.

This month's image shows the nice (soft) sunset from this weekend at the fragile double arch at Gaztelugatxe Bay right next to the famous islet and small church/hermitage of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe from the 10th century. The trailhead and parking lot is located right next to the restaurant "Eneperi jatetxea" on the coastal route between Bermeo and Urkizaur, a half-hour drive from Bilbao International Airport.
