Schrammsteine at Saxon Switzerland
When autumn meets winter
In late October the first snow might start falling again on the
woods and sandstone spires across Saxon Switzerland in East Germany
near our hometown Dresden. This month's image shows the view from
top of the Schrammsteine, one of many
spectacular overlooks that can be accessed by a short 1-hour-hike
and by climbing up a lot stairs and ladders.
The trailhead is located near the restaurant "Schrammsteinbaude" on the road to Ostrau, east of the town of Bad Schandau.
